ASCA has a wonderful website that I use often, but you can find some great resources for parents and teachers as well!

ASCA Website

MY MISSION for the Manchester School Counseling program is aligned with the RSU 14 district mission to ensure success for all learners.  All students will have access to a comprehensive school counseling program that provides students with opportunities to develop their academic, career, and personal/social skills. Students will receive instruction that reflects not only the ASCA national model competencies, but State of Maine learning targets and guiding principles as well. The school counseling program will be data-driven, accessible to all, and relevant.  The school counseling program will collaborate with students, staff, parents, and the community to ensure that students are receiving developmentally appropriate skills to prepare them for success in middle school and all future endeavors.

MY VISION is that every student at Manchester School will have access to a comprehensive school counseling program focused on the development of academic, career, and personal/social skills.  Students will have opportunities to engage actively in authentic and relevant learning opportunities supported by a safe learning environment. Students will develop skills to reach their fullest potential and become not only successful students, but respectful and responsible citizens.
